Is it Time for Maximum Wage Legislation?

If a state can legally, under the Constitutional and/or legislative authority, impose a minimum wage, what logic or law prevents it from imposing a maximum wage?  This may sound silly at first, but it’s happened before in the United States.  FDR imposed maximum wage “protections” and it led to the mess we currently refer to as “the US healthcare system”, and many other unintended consequences.

If this logic is sound…”We need a minimum wage because people can’t afford to pay the electric bill making $10 an hour!”

Why isn’t this logic sound…..”We must limit HVAC technician, Tech CEO and auto mechanic wages because people can’t afford to fix their AC, buy their kid a laptop for school, or safely drive their cars if I have to pay them $10 an hour!”

The Answer is… Venezuela

These days, the American dream is more apt to be realized in South America, in places such as Ecuador, Venezuela and Argentina, where incomes are actually more equal today than they are in the land of Horatio Alger. Who’s the banana republic now?
