God's not up there...

…and other heresy.

Until you make the unconcious concious, It will direct your life, and you will call it fate.

Questions?

Always question or never question.  If you sometimes question, you will ultimately fall into the habit of thinking you have some supernatural ability to know what should be questioned and who and what to never question.

This is arrogant, as it leads to the conclusion that you know…well…everything!

People that sometimes question end up deciding who and what to question based on the group or situation they find themselves in.  These people end up as either tools, enemies, or both.

Always questioning will eventually teach you to question with love, grace and respect.  These lessons are difficult, uncomfortable and often costly.  Those unwilling to “pay” for such lessons are doomed to become the tools and enemies discussed above…they are doomed to question when it’s easy and blindly accept when it’s difficult.

note:  one must understand that an (honest) question is a not a statement structured for the purposes of leading an opponent into a “mistake.”  This is not “questioning.”  This tactic is merely an attempt to trick another into making a statement that fits into your script.  Unfortunately, many people do not realize that the success of this trick has no bearing on the validity an argument covered in that script.

Our responsibility…

I know if not one verse where Jesus told his disciples to insure that they petition the Roman government to help the poor, or one that tells us to back a PROPOSAL to the government do so in our stead.
